I utilise my many years of experience as a Graphic Designer and Mixed Media Artist to produce dramatic free-flowing studies and industrial style photography.
A relaxed drawing style which relies on strong erratic lines and vibrant colouring techniques bring my landscapes and other studies to life, while my interest in distressed environments and abstract form creates engaging compositional photographs. Some of my recent projects have been based on distressed environments and also the creation of 'SOUND SCAPES' where music is used to influence the painting I am working on. I also I love to travel and am always looking for my next subject, project and series.
2020 has been an unprecedented year for creatives due to the breakout of Covid 19 - many events were cancelled in 2020, including the amazing Open Studios. I am glad to say that currently we are planning for Open Studios 2021 to go ahead. Along with various other exhibitions throughout the year, including a solo exhibition at Arlington Arts and other collaborative shows. I will keep you updated of changes and up and coming events here.

I have been busy experimenting with different styles and subjects. From abstract still life studies, Jewellery containing parts of my art and photography and most recently a large study of Donnington Castle in preparation for an exhibition at Arlington and of course Open Studios.
'SOUND SCAPES' - Music to your eyes!
I have recently been letting myself loose in the studio creating abstract works of art based on music. The concept is not a new one but I have not experimented with this for a while and certainly not to this scale.
The process involves creating a play-list of music. Sometimes a specific genre, others times random music. With the music playing I let it depict the style of the painting from the colours used to the strokes and mark making. As the music changes so does the direction of the artwork. Generally there are shapes that repeat according to the sounds I hear.
I have been producing a few of theses and there are seeming popular with people - I have even had a requested play-list sent to me and produced a bespoke
'SOUND SCAPE' for someone based on their favourite music!
You can see these 'SOUND SCAPES' for yourself at the various exhibition I am showing or even commission one yourself!
